Episode Synopsis: Land und Leute
In den frühen Tagen der Lindbergh-Regierung entscheidet Herman, dass die Familie den geplanten Trip nach Washington D. C. antreten wird, statt Bess‘ Wunsch entsprechend nach Kanada zu reisen, wohin zahlreiche jüdische Familien auswandern. Infolge eines Besuchs bei Evelyn interessiert Sandy sich für ein an jüdische Jugendliche gerichtetes Assimilierungsprogramm, das von Bengelsdorf geführt wird. In London macht Alvin bei seiner Militärausbildung eine besonders gute Figur und wird für eine Sondermission ausgewählt.
