About The Vaccines
The Vaccines are an English indie rock band, formed in London in 2010. They describe their influences as "'50s rock 'n' roll, '60s garage, '70s punk, '80s American hardcore and good pop music." They have been compared to The Jesus & Mary Chain and The Ramones.
The band were formed by Justin Young and Freddie Cowan. Young had previously worked as a solo folk artist under the moniker Jay Jay Pistolet. Guitarist Cowan is the younger brother of Tom Cowan from The Horrors.
